Q_ How much is the cabin rental?

A_ It is the total amount of adding these two fees:

1. $2,400 pesos per night (this only covers the cabin fee) it may be less depending on the date of your visit. Check our price calendar for further information.

 

2. $500 pesos per person per night spent in the cabin (this covers the camp's admission fees and access to all amenities). It may be less depending on the date of your visit. Check our price calendar for further information.

3. Additionally, you must leave a deposit of $200 pesos for the cabin's key. This amount will be refunded when the key is returned upon check out.

 

Q_ How many people can stay in a cabin?

A_ Cabins are designed to house a maximum of 6 people.

 

Q_ How do I make a cabin or tepee reservation?

You can make your reservation over the phone by following these steps:

Step 1: Call +52 (646) 153.1055 between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm pacific time.

Step 2: Provide the operator your full name, date of arrival, phone number and e-mail.

Step 3: You may opt to pay for your reservation over the phone with a credit or debit card or make a bank deposit to the following account:

Step 4: Once you've made the deposit you will have to send an email to info@lascanadas.com with an attached image of your deposit receipt, your name, phone number and arrival date.

Step 5: Once you have sent the email, you must contact us to confirm that we received your payment. From there, you will receive an email from us with a reservation confirmation.

Or you can send us an email to  info@lascanadas.com and follow steps 2 and 3 which are mentioned above.

NOTE: If you are interested in making a reservation for Easter weekend, Memorial Day weekend, July, August or Labor Day weekend, you must make your reservation at least two months in advance in order to have a better chance of finding cabins available.

 

Q_ What is the Check in time for cabins and teppes?

A_ Check in is at 2:00 pm, but you are allowed to access the campground from 7:30 am. Check out is at noon on your last day of your reservation, but you are allowed to stay within the campground and use the facilities until 6:00pm of that day.

 

Q_ What are accepted forms of payment?

A_ We accept Visa or Mastercard, bank deposits and bank wire transfers.

Q_ Can I make a reservation online?

A_ Currently we do not have the system to make reservations online, but we are working actively to have this system in the near future.

 

Q_ What is included in the Cabin?

A_ The eco touristic cabins include what is needed for a comfortable stay in the campground:

• Shower with hot running water (Towels are not included)
• Bathroom with a mirror and sink
• Electrical Power, water and drainage
• Small kitchen area with sink (no stove nor fridge)
• 2 bunk beds and a sofa bed (Pillows and blankets are not included)
• A porch with a panoramic view of the campground
• One grill, one camping table and one car parking space
 • Fits a maximum of 6 people

 

Q_ How many cabins are available?

A_ We have a total of 20 cabins.

 

Q_ Can we take our pets to the cabin?

A_ Due to health standards, pets are not allowed inside the cabin. You must consider that after you check out, someone else will occupy it, and even though we make our best effort to leave the cabin as clean as possible after it is used, pets sometimes leave residues that are imperceptible for the human eye. Therefore, we ask that you bring a kennel for your pet to sleep in outside the cabin.

 

Q_ What is considered a “group of teenagers”?

A_ Derived from Las Cañadas mission statement, it is considered a group of teenagers all of those who don´t meet our family criteria: a group comprised of a father, mother and children, or in some cases, grandparents and grandchildren.

Since we are not in a position to ask for proof of kin, to be considered a family, in your group must be at least ONE of the following:

a) One or more children (all kids 12 and under are considered children).

b) One or more people of third age (all 60 years or older)

 

Q_ If we're a group of cousins and we have children with us, will we be able to camp?

A_ Since we try our best to stick to our policies and promote a healthy environment, all those people who have children with them will be allowed for camping. Those who do not have children, will not be allowed to stay overnight, however will be more than welcome to use a Day Pass which allows you to stay in the campground until 6:00 pm.

 

Q_ What if one of our parents comes with us and commits to our good behavior and respect for the rules?

A_ Without a problem that parent will be able to access the campground along with his or her young sons/daughters, and stay inside as part of the group. But If the parent happens to leave the campsite, the rest of the group will have to follow as well.

 

Q_ We are several co-workers and our ages range from 18 to 40. Can we access the campground?

A_ Derived from Las Cañadas mission statement, it is considered a group of “teenagers” any group who do not meet our family criteria: a group comprised of a father, mother and children, or in some cases, grandparents and grandchildren. Our policy is not driven by a group's ages but by our intention of keeping a family friendly environment at all times.

 

Q_ Can we leave a deposit or a letter of commitment to guarantee that we will be in our best behavior and respect the rules overnight?

A_ Las Cañadas Campground promotes a family friendly environment and it is a promise our visitors expect us to keep. An environment that is safe, quiet and healthy without loud noises after midnight.

It is with the only intention of keeping this promise to all of our visitors that we do not allow ourselves to experiment with who will and who will not follow the rules. We don't want any of our visitors to feel disappointed or deprived from the promise that Las Cañadas Campground makes to them.

Q_ At what age do children start paying the campground´s admission fee?

A_ We don't charge kids based on their age, but rather their height. If a child is 40 inches tall or shorter, the admission fee is waived.

 

Q_ Do you offer discounts to senior citizens?

A_ Of course! At Las Cañadas we welcome big kids as well. Just bring your INAPAM or INSEN (Mexican Seniors ID's) ID card and we'll give the person carrying the card a 30% discount!

 

Q_ Do you offer a discount for ´Se Turista en tu Estado¨ card holders?

A_ For the moment being, we are not affiliated to that program.

 

Q_ Are there special rates for large groups or schools?

A_ Yes we do offer special rates for large school groups, religious groups, tourist guides and other groups. Contact us at +52 (646) 153.1055 or send us an email to info@lascanadas.com and we will gladly prepare a quote for your group.

 

Q_ What type of promotions do you have?

A_ All Year round, we have dates with discounts of up to 50% (See price calendar for further information)

Aside from that, we offer 3x2  on the camping pass. You pay 2 consecutive nights and the third consecutive night is totally free! Just remember to ask for it upon arrival at the entrance. Some restrictions apply.

Winter special: If you visits us between October 28nd 2019 and March 13, 2020 you will receive 60% off your admission fee. Some restrictions apply.

 

Q_ Is there a certain group size needed to get special pricing?

A_ Special pricing does not only depend on group size, but on other factors such as type of group, date of arrival, whether it´s just for the day or for camping, services required, cabins, etc. Please give us a call to clear up any questions you may have.

Q_ Are there restaurants inside the campground?

A_ We currently do not have a restaurant inside the Campground, but we do have some very good food options such as: Sea food Cocktails, fish tacos, Grilled Chicken and mixed fruit cocktail. These food stands are open only during our peak season and holiday weekends between

 

Q_ Do you have showers?

A_ Yes we do have several shower modules all with hot running water located all over the campground along with clean dressing rooms.

 

Q_ What services have an additional cost inside the campground?

A_ ATV rentals, the Canopy Tour, Horseback Riding Tour, are the only services not included in your entry fee.

 

Q_ What does the admission fee include?

 

A_

• The use of our four swimming pools. One with a diving board, one with water slides, Children´s aquatic zone (Pirate´s Fort) and our Wave Pool
• All sports facilities (Soccer areas, basketball court, and 2 beach volleyball areas).
• Use of all Restrooms, showers and dressing rooms
• Hiking trails, and ATV circuit.
 • The use of pedal boats.

 

Q_ Are the pools heated?

A_ They are not, but we have excellent weather in the area.

 

Q_ Is there a fee for the pedal boats?

A_ The pedal boats are included with your admission fee and you may use them as many times you want for periods of 30 minutes at a time, unless there is no one else waiting to get on, at which instance you can ride them indefinitely until the attraction closes for the day.

 

Q_ Can we bring alcoholic beverages inside the campground or do you sell them in the campground?

A_ You can bring your own, but it is also for sale in one of our stores.

 

Q_ Do you have horses for rent?

A_ Yes, we have a horseback riding tour the Echo viewpoint. It's a guided tour in which a guide will take you through a trail where you will be able gaze upon the beauty of the mountains and a wonderful view of the campground from above.

 

Q_ Do you have Wi-Fi?

A_ Yes, we have several hot spots, but these do not cover the whole campground. There are 7 distributed along the camp. So you may find areas where you will get good reception of our Wi-Fi signal ond some area where you will not get any reception of our Wi Fi signal.

 

Q_ How deep is the water in the Pirate Cove?

A_ It is 18 inches deep.

 

Q_ What activities operate at night?

A_ In Las Cañadas Campground, the fun does not end when the night falls. All of our swimming pools including the Children’s Aquatic Zone are lit from under the water and all of them are open until 11:30 PM.

During the summer season there is DJ music playing in  our Wave Pool and  the dance floor. Also the Lake is lit from above and the pedal Boats are open at night. We also offer Canopy tours at night during the the dates marked in black and blue in our price calendar.

And as part of the night time fun, some Fridays and Saturdays during July and August, we offer live music in our outstanding music venue (The Coliseum). Check out our events calendar for more information.

Also our Wave Pool is open, lit and making waves until 11:00 pm during July, August and Holiday weekends.

 

Q_ Do you rent camping tents?

A_ At the moment, we are not offering tent rental service. However, they are for sale in any of our three stores inside the campground.

 

Q_ Can we bring pets to the campground?

A_ Pets are allowed in the Campground, as long as you keep them in a leash at all times. You will also be responsible to clean up any wastes that your pet leaves. More important you will be fully responsible if your pet bothers or attacks other guests inside the Campground.

 

Q_ How late is the entrance open?

A_ Anytime from 7:30am to 11:30pm.

 

Q_ Is the campground safe?

A_ Las Cañadas is a safe place for you and your family. We have 24 hour security guards on site, 365 days a year.

 

Q_ Can we reserve a camping spot for our stay?

A_ Reserving spots is not allowed since you have to choose your own upon arrival and availability. Camping spots are on a first come first serve basis.

 

Q_ Are bonfires allowed?

A_ Yes, as long as they are not set on a green area. Bonfires on grass are strictly forbidden.

 

Q_ Can I light fireworks?

A_ Yes, as long as they are lit within the allowed areas. Please ask our staff where the designated areas are located within the campground.

 

Q_ Can I take BB riffles?

A_ For security reasons, BB riffles or air guns are not allowed inside the campground.

 

Q_ Can I camp next to the cabins?

A_ Camping next to the cabins is not allowed, since the cabin area is designed to offer our guests more privacy. However, there are some green areas that are close by the cabins if you wish to camp near them.

 

Q_ Do I need to make a reservation to camp?

A_ It is not necessary, since you choose your camping spot where you would like to set upon arrival.

 

Q_ How late can I play music in my campsite?

A_ Trying to be considerate and respectful to all our guests, no loud noises nor music wil be allowed in the campground after midnight (12:00 am).

Q_ What is the Canopy Tour?

A_ The canopy tour is an aerial tour which takes place in the middle of the hills and above a lake consisting of five zip lines and five suspension bridges, each representing a different degree of challenge.

 

Q_ How much is the Canopy Tour?

A_ The regular price is $500 pesos, but we have some promotions all year round.

 

Q_ What's the most a person can weight to do the Canopy Tour?

A_ There is no maximum weight to do the tour, the only requirement is that you can fit the safety harness.

Waist Loop: 48 inches

Thighs Loop: 26 inches

Q_ What is the minimum age allowed on the canopy tour?

A_ It is not about age, but height limit. You have to be at least 55 inches tall to do the canopy tour. If you are shorter than this, you can still take the tour and ride all the ziplines, but you will miss out on most of the bridges.

 

Q_ How safe is the Canopy Tour?

A_ The Canopy Tour is completely safe. The safety equipment used in the Canopy Tour is one of the safest manufactured worldwide. In addition, our Canopy Tour guides are highly trained to guarantee your safety and assure you have a great time.

 

Q_ What is the maximum weight supported by the equipment used?

A_ If you weigh less than 3,000 pounds, you have nothing to worry about!

 

Q_ Are there any physical requirements to do the tour?

A_ Be at least 55 inches tall, weight at least 90 pounds, bring comfortable clothing and shoes (if you're a girl, try not to bring skirts), no blood pressure or heart problems, back pain or waist pain and no pregnant women.

 

Q_ Do you offer discounts for large groups wanting to do the Canopy Tour?

A_ Of course we do! Just gives us a call and let us know how many people will be taking the tour, what kind of group they belong to (school, religious, work group, etc.) to determine what type of discount applies. 

 

Q_ When do you offer Canopy Tour night tours?

A_ Every date marked in Black and Blue on our Price Calendar. 

 

Q_ What does the night tour consist of?

A_ It is the same tour offered during the day, but at night it gives you the experience of flying in pitch black darkness with nothing more than a few lights in the campground from bonfires and a few concert lights. We also equip your helmet with a small LED lamp.

 

Q_ Can we bring cameras to the Canopy Tour?

A_ Yes, you can bring your camera and take pictures during the tour, but it will have to be strapped on to your neck. For safety reasons, this is the only way you will be allowed to bring a camera with you.
